Perfect example of leftist media bias....

From Babalublog.com

Tit for tat, biatch.

Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association are "very disappointed with the government's decision to deny the participation of a team from Cuba in the World Baseball Classic". The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets (OFAC) denied Cuba a permit to enter the US and play in the World Baseball Classic as it would allow the communist government to make money on US soil and that is a major nono.

Others, like fidel castro's buddy Rep. Jose Serrano, D-N.Y, are also decrying the government's decision:

"Let's leave the politics out of this," said Rep. Jose Serrano, D-N.Y., seeking to have Cuba allowed into the tournament. "The World Baseball Classic should not be tainted by our grudge against Cuba's government. Cuba produces some of the finest baseball talent in the world and they deserve to participate."
This has been all over the news:

ABC News
The Miami Herald
The San Francisco Chronicle
The New York Times
Reuters

Just to name a few. A Google News search yields 344 related artciles from the MSM.

This story is quite the media feeding frenzy.

Yet in a different Google News search, this one looking for articles on the Ladies in White and the Sakharov prize, where the castro regime denied their travel to Europe to receive same, we get a grand total of 15 related articles.

And there you have it folks. The world is aflame because the US didnt allow Cuban baseball players to play in a tournament in the US, yet there is no such outrage when it comes to allowing Cuban dissidents to travel abroad to receive a humanitarian prize.

Some people will argue left and right about this issue, stating that the US should allow the baseball players in because we're the US and we're better than that and yadayadayada. For me, it's quite simple:

You want the Cuban baseball players to play in the US? Fine. Then call for the Ladies in White to be allowed to travel abroad also.

It aint about a few baseball games. It's all about propaganda for fidel anyway you look at it. The castro regime wants the positive propaganda of having the national baseball team palying in the tournament, yet refuses to allow the Ladies to receive their award because it knows fully well it would be a public relations nightmare for the regime.

No ticket, no laundry, fidelito.
